 1.                  Find out what your interns, residents and attendings expect of you.  Try to exceed their expectations.

2.                  Speak up.

3.                  Ask good questions.

4.                  Read and study consistently.  Discuss what you learn with your classmates and teachers and in your notes.

5.                  Go the extra mile for your team.  You will benefit as much as your team and patients will.

6.                  Go the extra mile for your patients.  You will benefit as much as your team and patients will.

7.                  Know EVERYTHING about your patients.

8.                  Follow through on every assigned task.

9.                  Be conscientious and compassionate.
